The Colorado Craft Brewers Summit hosted a panel entitled, “Protecting the IP in Your IPA (aka Free Legal Advice)” with Intellectual Property and Beer Law attorney Brandon Selinsky of Whitcomb, Selinsky Law PC. Selinsky presented alongside Mike Drumm on November 5th, 2019 at the Lory Student Center on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins.

The presentation focused on how lawyers and trademarks can be essential and expensive for the craft brewery business. This presentation provided practical trademark tips from two highly experienced, beer trademark attorneys. Attendees learned how craft beer brewers and breweries can use their trademarks to increase the value in their breweries and protect their beers. Summit attendees were encouraged to bring legal questions for the attorneys to answer during the complimentary question and answer session.

Whitcomb, Selinsky Law PC recently launched an entirely new legal department devoted to brewery and beer law. It may be found at http://www.BeerLawHQ.com. “Colorado has really become a hub of craft beer brewing and we want to support this important economic driver. There seemed to be a real need for a law firm that specializes in all aspects of brewery and beer law. Much of our legal work centers on trademark protection and intellectual property rights but we are versed in all aspects of getting a brewery up and running.,” said Selinsky about the new department.

The Colorado Craft Brewers Summit is taking place November 4 and 5, 2019 in the Lory Student Center at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. More information may be found online, including the agenda, at this link.
